Many gay men don’t even bother buying condoms to keep around in case things heat up with another man. Do you think the men that do buy condoms are deluding themselves into thinking, “maybe, I’ll use one,” or “maybe he’ll want me to use one, and it’ll be good I came prepared?”
For whatever reason(s) our usage of condoms have changed drastically over the years. Many see condom use as a pain in the ass. Half of the time they’d lose their erections while putting on the condom, or they wouldn’t be able to finish, or it would slow down the momentum and ruining the moment. Now I know this is not the case for most gay men, but for many, it was more than just a nuisance.
That said, with lifestyle, and sexual activity, many of us know how important it is to wear condoms to protect from contracting HIV and other STIs. Whether we want to accept it or not, bare-backing is a large component of many gay men’s sexual identity. It’s a part of their identity and when you throw PrEP into the mix, you end up with a ‘legitimate’ cause for bare-backing, right?
At the end of the day, it’s a trade off for many, some feel that at this point in their lives, PrEP is worth it to have sex raw. After all having sex in the raw feels so much better. They don’t have to worry about losing erections or not being able to cum. They can throw themselves fully into the sexual experience without being all up in their heads.
Do you feel that the pros of unprotected sex far outweigh the cons with so many gay men going on PrEP and are having bareback sex?
Oh, I had no idea it did. I mean, there are those people with their noses in the air, but then... they're no fun, now are they. No... give me happy sluts with swinging nuts and cleaned out butts. :) Always a good time to be had, lad.
ReplyDeleteDo you use a face-mask while we're in this Covid-19 world? 😏
ReplyDeleteWhy not be smart enough and use a condom while there's too many diseases out there? 🤷♂️
It's as simple as that. ✌🏻
