Why not just call it Godbook?
Christians have set up a social network, similar to Facebook, where
any mention of homosexuality is completely banned.
Facegloria, which has attracted 100,000 members since its launch
last month, forbids swearing and any erotic content. It is intended to be the
first ‘sin-free’ social networking site.
Instead of posting ‘like’ on posts, users press an ‘Amen’ button.
Faceglória is a new 'sin-free' Facebook
While Facegloria, based out of Brazil, is currently only available
in Portuguese, other language services and a mobile app are being planned.
‘On Facebook you see a lot of violence and pornography. That’s why
we thought of creating a network where we could talk about God, love and to
spread his word,’ web designer Atilla Barros told AFP.
The network is policed by a team of 20 volunteers, aiming to hunt
down any content that could damage the fragile hearts and minds of Evangelical
Christians. 600 words are automatically banned.
Their aim is to attain 10 million users in the next two years.
