JOHN BARROWMAN TURNS THE OTHER CHEEK FOR NOH8 CAMPAIGN

When posing for the NOH8 campaign, it is custom to have a temporary tattoo put on your cheek and a piece of silver masking tape across your mouth as part of a silent protest.

John Barrowman has just posed for the campaign but he had tattoos place on two cheeks - and one of them is not on his face!

The Torchwood and Arrow star joins such stars as out celebrities as George Takei, Greg Louganis, Jane Lynch, Andy Cohen, Lance Bass and straight allies Kathy Griffin, Fran Drescher, Pauley Perrette and Brendon Ayanbadejo.

Ayanbadejo's recent photo was even more revealing than Barrowman's who is completely nude with just a football covering his private parts.

The N0H8 Campaign was launched by photographer Adam Bouska and partner Jeff Parshley in direct response to the passage of California's anti-gay marriage ballot measure Proposition 8 passed by voters in 2008.

Photos feature subjects with duct tape over their mouths, symbolizing their voices being silenced by Prop 8.

Even though Proposition 8 has been overturned by the courts and gay marriage has returned to California, the campaign continues to protest similar legislation around the world.
