SOME OF US GET IT...

I have learnt that we teach people how to treat us. 

I have learnt that we cannot expect the respect or love of others if we do not primarily, respect and love ourselves. 

I have learnt that we create the societies we feel we deserve to live in and that those societies are populated with the people who best reflect our state of mind and heart at that given time and that the thing we are running from is very often the thing we are, in fact, chasing after.

    I totally agree with the first two statements. We cannot love or respect others unless we first love and respect ourselves. However, there are so many elements affecting the society in which we have to live that those of us who do love and respect ourselves and others are only one of the things that create the society in which we all have to live. We all dream of a Utopia but we can't create it unless EVERYONE cooperates. Hugs, Patrick
