You know you want it.
The Seattle-based boylesque troupe Mod Carousel has released a sexy
genderfuck parody of Robin Thicke's controversial "Blurred Lines"
music video, which has earned jeers for its blatant objectification of naked
women. If you dig boys in heels, thongs, and lipstick, you're in for a real
treat.
"It's our opinion that most attempts to show female
objectification in the media by swapping the genders serve more to ridicule the
male body than to highlight the extent to which women get
objectified and does everyone a disservice," writes the troupe, which
includes boylesque performers Trojan Original, Paris Original, and
the Luminous
Pariah. "We made this video specifically to show a spectrum of
sexuality as well as present both women and men in a positive light, one
where objectifying men is more than alright and where women can be strong and
sexy without negative repercussions."
Check out the video below. How do you think it compares to the original?
