Would you like an HIV test with your caramel macchiato?
The San Francisco Department of Health's popular "Healthy
Penis" campaign is back, you guys!
Designed to promote safe sex and regular STD testing among San
Franciscans, the public health promotion features a trio of cartoon penises and
their enemy, Phil the Syphilis Sore.
This year the department has teamed up with more than 20 local
merchants in San Francisco's super-gay Castro District, including national
chains like Starbucks and the Sunglass Hut, who are offering discounts for
anyone who gets an HIV test. A giant cartoon penis character hands
out the coupons, which look like dollar bills with the character Byron H.
Penis, and a "healthy penis" squeeze toy that reminds folks to get
tested every six months.
“When people know their status, they’re a lot less likely to spread
their infection around,” organizer Thomas Knoble tells the Huffington Post, adding that the campaign has led to
a marked decrease in syphilis cases over the last decade.
The "Healthy Penis" campaign runs through
October. Find a list of participating San Francisco business and the
city's HIV testing sites on the Department of Public Health's website.
hehehe I'm in Italy and I make blood test (with HIV and all the rest) twice a year
ReplyDeleteGREAT it is important to know your status
DeleteThat would be a great idea in any city. In your reply to my comment you said that you wondered about VIAGRA. All I can say is that it works for me. It takes about 45 minutes to start to have an effect, one must be feeling sexy for it to work, it gives me a really good erection, an after effect for me is often a headache. It does not work for some men.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering how if affects persons that don't need it. Will need it to get erections from that point on?
