I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

¿WOULD YOU RATHER?

...SEX

I FIND IT INTERESTING HOW THE HOMOSEXUAL MIND-SET IS REDUCED TO SEX, WITH VERY LITTLE CONSIDERATION FOR THE EMOTIONAL & SPIRITUAL BONDS THAT GAY MEN CAN SHARE IN LOVE. I FIND IT SCARY THAT MOST GAY MEN WOULD RATHER A QUICK “HIT” OVER TRYING TO GET SOMETHING THAT IS MORE TANGIBLE & REAL. YES SEX IS INCREDIBLE, BUT HOW CAN IT TAKE YOU IT’S PHYSICALITY? SEX IS IMPORTANT BUT IT IS NOT EVERYTHING; SO WHY DO WE CHASE IT LIKE IT IS ALL THAT MATTERS? I KNOW THAT SEX IS ONE THING THAT MANKIND HAS IN COMMON; BUT AS A FRACTION OF WHO WE ARE AS GAY MEN & WE ONLY COULD CHOOSE ONE WHICH ONE WOULD YOU CHOOSE? WOULD YOU RATHER SEX OR LOVE WHEN ALL IS SAID & DONE?
LOVE...

  2. good post man...if these were my only options I would have to chose sex. I say this simply because I do not think a white man can truly love a person of color. This based on the fact that white men can never empathize with the daily struggle of men of color

  3. Hey xavier edwards, the post has nothing to do with being white or black; it's sex or love that's the title not black or white or brown or red or yellow or whatever other color variations that we could dream up. But if there needs to be a conversation about race - I'm sure there are white men who struggle and there are black men who don't [think about it]. But that's another post and hopefully the good blogger will share his views on that soon; but for now can we get past racism and answer the real question here?

  4. I do agree with the 4th comment. No racism should be tolerated ever. Please keep focus on one thing out of any kind of racism. We should never allow to go back to the 1960.s year. NEVER.I am convinced that Xavier never meant what he wrote or just never thought one second of what we wanted to say. Please guys don't accept any kind of racism. It is so difficult to be accepted as we are....so get out of your mind that kind of stupidy. Some one who cares about each of us.

  5. Well i would pick love and my current situation with the relationship i am in is a testatment of that.It cannot be denied that we are sexual creatures, and our desire for sex is a natural and biological function.Having said that,we must not ignore that we are also emotional creatures that require intimacy and companionship. So while having sex for the sake of having it,fulfills the biological function, what happens to our our needs. Hence such an act leaves us feeling empty and leaves a void.Experience is life's greatest teacher, and many of us may not come to this realization until we've had numerous and countless random hookups and one night stands. In as much as we may not be aware of it ,it will hit us eventually when we wake up feeling depressed and alone. The sooner this is done the better it will be so that we can lead more meaningful and fulfilled lives.

  6. "... if we understand that sexual acts result in orgasm (the body's most powerful reinforcement), then it stands to reason that one's ... motivational interest in ... leads to the acquisition of motivational associations to orgasm. Clearly then the rewarding ... triggered orgasm, regularly reinforced by novel new ... stimuli, is seldom abandoned unless the users are equally driven by the sensate and cognitive demands of conflicting values and controls." "The Psychopharmacology of Pictorial Pornography ... by Judith A. Reisman Ph. D."I've (without permission) adapted and altered the above quotation to give you a novel perspective to your query. Our first experience is usually sexual in nature and through it we come to friendship and love.(Apologies for not saying my piece earlier but you SHOUT.)
