CROWD GOES WILD AS RUSSIANS BEAT GAY COUPLE IN POWERFUL NEW PSA


In a powerful new public service announcement, it proclaims Russia has introduced discrimination as the 'newest Olympic sport'.

The two-minute film project is aiming to show brutal violence against a gay couple highlights LGBT discrimination worldwide.

The new Public Service Announcement (PSA), titled ‘Russia Declares Discrimination Newest Olympic Sport’, portrays a depiction of bigotry and violence against LGBT Russians.

Released by the Fair Games Project (FGP), the moving video starts with a same-sex marriage proposal, and goes onto showing the same couple being brutally assaulted by threatening Russian athletes on a playing field.

At the end of the short film, after the athletes receive nines out of ten for their violent performances, the viewers are reminded that being gay is still a criminal act in more than 70 countries, including Russia.

Michael Rohrbaugh, the director and producer of the Fair Games Project, underlined the necessity of the strong message behind the video said: ‘There are 77 countries in the world where being gay remains a crime, in some cases punishable by forced labor, lifelong prison sentences, and even execution.’


‘With your help, FGP aims to correct this injustice, and serve as a powerful rallying cry for global gay rights,’ he added.

    I have never been more disturbed then seeing this PSA! I was so disturbing it inspired my morning inspiration this morning. For days these images ran in my mind & grew angry. Almost to the point of wanting to go hetero-bashing
