¿RELIGION = CHRISTIANITY?

If religion could be seen as a fabric it would probably be some cotton with little if any room for satin and polyester. It has long been said that RELIGION is a form of rules and rituals with the thought of pleasing or appeasing an unapproachable God whereas CHRISTIANITY is one of various ways in which we serve GOD. Hence when one thinks of RELIGION, how is that CHRISTIANITY with its variant denominations automatically comes to mind? There are several other faiths that lay claim to religion; among them are Buddhists, Muslims and Rastafarians (JUST TO NAME A FEW). RELIGION BELIEVES THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO IS GOOD ENOUGH. With notion being common knowledge, how is that CHRISTIANITY can’t seem to believe that other religions don’t have a belief in a sovereign God who has already done all that is needed for the individual to be reconciled to Himself? It is my FIRM belief that CHRISTIANITY is unique in the fact that it is the ONLY a mean through which one MAY attain salvation. However the world to an extent seems to believe this form of religion is shared by the masses when it is NOT! The bible informs us that Jesus taught that us that the truth would SET YOU FREE. Therefore, I ask how did we come to a place where CHRISTIANITY is the RELIGION of the day? The way I see it, if CHRISTIANITY is the ONLY TRUE RELIGION then that means that RELIGION is humanity trying to reach God by OUR efforts; and CHRISTIANITY is God paying the price for HIS creation. How does one NOT see that Christianity mostly lack the connection to OUR creator? If one were to take a look @ a few other religions one would notice that Christianity does NOT have all the answers. The Muslims for instance give some insight as to our purpose as human beings and our relationship with GOD and how we worship him. I can see why many would choose this religion over Christianity because many find that it is the closest thing as far as worshiping the creator was concerned. I feel that CHRISTIANITY should be the belief that NO ONE RELIGION is better OR superior than the other. Moreover, CHRISTIANITY should be ever mindful of the past and be thankful for the present and NOT ever gloating OR triumphant over other religions. Religion should MOTIVATE us to seek GOD’S LOVE and be energized by HIS spirit. I OFTEN WONDER HOW THEY DO NOT TRY TO ACCEPT OTHER RELIGIOUS BELIEFS & DISRESPECT THEM IN THE NAME OF GOD. RELIGION REQUIRES WE LIVE BY FAITH, TRUSTING IMPLICITLY IN GOD & CONTINUE TO SEEK HIS WISDOM. UNFORTUNATELY THESE CHARACTERISTICS ARE NOT ADHERE TO & THEREFOR OTHER RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS ARE SEEN AS OUTCASTS. IS IT NOT SAD THAT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT RELIGION IT ALWAYS SOMEHOW ENDS UP BEING AN ARGUMENT? NO MATTER HOW IT STARTS, IT ALWAYS COMES TO A POINT WHERE ONE IS POSITIONED IN OPPOSITION TO CHRISTIANITY. YES THE RHYTHM OF MOST SOCIETIES IS RELIGION & IT DICTATES THE CALENDAR, THE HOLIDAY & OUR MENTALITY. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST CHRISTIANITY (WELL NOT THAT MUCH), BUT I FEEL THAT WE NEED TO FLEXIBLE & MINDFUL OF THE OTHER RELIGION THAT SERVE THE SAME GOD…IF ONLY CHRISTIANITY COULD EXPOSE ITSELF TO TRUE CHRISTIANITY…

MIRROR YOU

Coming into our own is a VERY is a private journey. Each of us will be drawn to a different gateway to begin on our personal path to awakening to a greater experience of ourselves. And the philosophies AND belief taught to us as children will play a VITAL role in shaping our lives. Hence when you look into the mirror do you like what is staring back @ you? Do you see yourself as the person you dreamt you would be? Do you even know who you are? Many times, we look in the mirror and a bias tends to form; and get all caught up in what is on the outside rather than what is on the inside. So many of us lie about our ages AND feel that if we dress up the outer appearance that no one will notice our innards. It has always been said that beauty is only in the eyes of the beholder. This statement is so true, but is hard to live because we live in a world that seems obsessed with looks and it is NOT getting any better. As GAY men most of us tend to superficial AND ignorant to our own unique beauty that it is NO surprise that we cannot recognize someone else’s. Our inner guidance does NOT lead us to the right doorway and the doorway WE recognize does NOT make us feel good about who we reflect in the mirror. One would think that as WE awaken to ourselves and to life, we will become more attuned to what is right for us. The universe speaks to all of us through infinite channels, but we each have our own frequency. Yet we ignore it AND try to tune into someone else’s frequency. WE ARE WHO WE ARE FOR A REASON & WE ARE ALL APART OF AN INTRICATE PLAN. OUR PRECIOUS & IMPERFECT UNIQUE DESIGN IS EITHER THIS OR THAT…BUT NO MATTER WE ARE ALL SPECIAL IN GOD’S EYE. IF WE KNOW THAT MY LOOK IS FOR A REASON & YOURS IS FOR ANOTHER, WHY DO WE QUESTION OURSELVES WHEN WE KNOW THAT GOD DOES NOT MAKE MISTAKES? WE WERE KNITTED TOGETHER IN THE WOMB & IS JUST WHAT HE WANTED TO MAKE…SO LET’S MAKE SURE THAT YOU MIRROR YOU!

SEXUALLY SPEAKING

Can someone tell me why is it politically correct to be called a species of HOMOSAPIENS meaning human beings but it’s not correct to be considered a HOMOSEXUAL? Biologically we are HOMO/SAPIENS (beings of human origin or race) HOMO (man, human) SAPIENS (to know) when the two are combined you get HUMAN BEINGS. Now if HOMO means MAN/HUMAN & SEXUAL has to do with sex OR the sexes; how is it when they are combined you get GAY, FAG or QUEER? Shouldn’t we be seen as SEXUAL HUMANS or SEXUAL SEXES? If HOMO means MAN or HUMAN which is a good thing and SAPIEN means to know or to be aware, shouldn’t the correct term for Humans who have intercourse be HOMOSEXUALS? How did society come to associate HETERO-SEXUAL to mean SEXUAL HUMAN BEINGS of different genders, when HETERO means DIFFERENT? So when one combines HETERO & SEXUAL we get STRAIGHT, REAL MAN/WOMAN? The answer is NO! If one were to combine these terms you really get DIFFERENT SEXES or OTHER SEXES. Though the term HETERO isn’t relative to anything considered living and without the sexual part referring to living organisms that have intercourse; the term HETERO would not be needed to differentiate the organism’s gender and sexual partnering. If this was to be a true OR correct term that would be acceptable to differentiate the way different gendered organisms have intercourse then as a species of HOMOSAPIENS shouldn’t we be referred to as HETEROSAPIENS?  Though I make this argument, I understand that my point does NOT specify a species nor does it reference to the evolutional intelligence of a species. However it my belief that as HUMAN BEINGS we cannot refer to ourselves as HETEROSAPIENS so we shouldn’t refer ourselves as HETEROSEXUAL either. Therefore, to put it all in correct terminology once and for all, let’s say that HOMOSEXUALITY truly means HUMAN SEXES that engage in intercourse is a truer statement than saying HETEROSEXUALS which mean nothing than two different things that engage in intercourse behavior. To simplify this whole separatism mess and incorrect terminology being thrown about and maybe end the hate among us humans let’s incorporate everyone one under one terminology that reference both genders to an act that can’t be considered bad for one gender with a partner of the same gender yet ok for the same gender with a partner of a different gender.  LET US RID OURSELVES OF TERMS SUCH AS HOMO & HETERO & ADOPT NEW TERMS SUCH AS HOMOSAPIENSEXUAL, SAPIENSEXUAL, HUMANSEXUAL, HOMETEROSEXUAL, HEMOSEXUAL, SEXESEXUAL OR JUST SEXUAL? I FEEL THIS PROBLEM WE SEEM TO HAVE WITH SEXUALITY STARTS WITH LABELS & SHOULD REALLY BE ADDRESSED. BEING THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE RACE OF HOMOSAPIEN ON THIS PLANET, THIS MEANING THAT WE ARE ALL CONNECTED & NEED EACH OTHER TO SURVIVE; WHY THEN ARE WE HURTING EACH OTHER OVER THE ONE THING THAT CONNECTS US?

BODY CONFIDENCE

When it comes to feeling confident about how you look and loving your WHOLE body, most of us could use a little positive reinforcement. Here are SIX tips that I thought would be VERY helpful:

  1. STOMACH (USUAL COMPLAINT: IT IS TOO BIG & FLABBY) THE FIX: Try adding certain foods like peanut butter, avocados, almonds and other belly-flatteners to your diet. Or, get off the couch and try these exercises that really target your abs. Dressing for your body type can also help you feel and look confident. DID YOU KNOW? The average adult woman's waist size is 34.3 inches and the average man's waist is 36.9. This bit of information also found that men and women grow 3-5 inches in the waist and 1-3 inches in the hips as they age from the 18-35 age group to the 36-65 group. A healthy waist limit for women is 35 inches and 40 for men; higher circumferences are associated with obesity and metabolic syndrome health risks.

  2. PENIS (USUAL COMPLAINT: IT IS SMALLER THAN NORMAL) THE FIX: Perhaps the only change men need to make is a mental one. A 60-year study of penile sizes and sex appeal published in the urology journal BJU International in June 2007 found that an overwhelming majority of men were satisfied with their partner's penile size? DID YOU KNOW? Though the issue of male attractiveness is complex, the penile size should NOT be the total focus of a man. Hence it would serve a man good to remember that the average erect penises ranged from 5.5 to 6.2 inches in length and 4.7 to 5.1 inches in girth.

  3. SMILE (USUAL COMPLAINT: MY LIPS TOO THICK/THINK & TEETH ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH) THE FIX: We can't all have Marcus Patrick's lips, but if you want plumper lips consider lip plumbers. And to keep your teeth stain-free, please not the following: Coffee and cigarettes are two major culprits of teeth discoloration along with Dark Drinks, Excessive Fluoride, Medicine, Dental Damage/Poor Brushing Habits, Colorful Foods and Genetics/Aging. DID YOU KNOW? If you're under 50, you're likely to like your smile, according to a recent study published in the Journal of the American Dental Association that found that the under-50 crowd was most satisfied with their smiles.

  4. BUTT (USUAL COMPLAINT: IT IS NOT FIRM ENOUGH) THE FIX: While some products claim to reduce cellulite and tone your behind, there aren't many guarantees. Find out about cellulite reduction here. Men can be concerned about toning their behinds, but remember, when it comes to exercising with self-esteem issues the best approach is to take have a healthy, not obsessive attitude. DID YOU KNOW? About 85 percent of women have cellulite, while men are relatively unaffected. This is probably due to hormones, as well as the thickness (or thinness) of women's skin in comparison to men's.

  5. FEET (USUAL COMPLAINT: MY FEE ARE COVERED IN CALLUSES) THE FIX: Whether you've got calluses, corns, or athlete's foot, wearing comfortable shoes can help lessen your foot problem. Find out how to choose the proper footwear. Using a pumice stone (or, even treating yourself to a pedicure), can promote foot health, and can be a constructive, relaxing fix for your foot complaints. DID YOU KNOW? According to the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, the average person walks 115,000 miles in a lifetime. That's more than four times around the entire world, which may explain why 87% of us suffer from some type of foot ailment.

  6. BODY HAIR (USUAL COMPLAINT: I AM TOO HAIRY) THE FIX: Hair removal is now a commonly accepted practice among men and from waxing to threading there are a lot of options available. To learn about the pains, speed and effectiveness of each hair removal process please seek answers before committing to this exercise. DID YOU KNOW? A study published by psychiatrist Dr. Aikarakudy Alias concluded that men with extraordinarily high IQ's generally had thicker, more abundant body hair than their less intelligent counterparts. He also found that the smartest members of Mensa (a high-IQ society) tended to have thick hair on their backs, as well as their chests

There is nothing wrong with wanting to improve SELF, but let’s try to have a bit more love for ourselves, too.

THE ENVY IS EVEN STRONGER WHEN BOTH PARTIES GIVE EACH OTHER THE CONSIDERATIONS. GIVING EACH OTHER THE SAME CONSIDERATION SHOWS TWO SIDED LOVE…

THE "ONE" YOU WANT

Whether I'm your type or not,

I know that I am you want me

You are turned on to my look

No matter if I am fat OR skinny

Young OR old

Feminine OR masculine

Light-skin OR dark-skin

I be your cup of tea.

Don’t try to figure out

What you are drawn to

For I am like a book

That catches your eyes before you look inside

You know that if you get pass the shell

You will find a pearl

I am more than body

Do I dare dream?

That you are more than what you appear to be?

Do I dare hope?

You actually want a REAL man?

Do I dare let you know?

That I am a MAN’S man?

I know which way is up

Inside & out

I can show you what life’s all ‘bout

I & I can show you

That everything is nothing

And nothing is everything

And show you the bold truth

That I am the self-esteem,

You’ve been missing AND craving!

SHADOW OF "TRUE" LOVE

It has ALWAYS been my belief that any act of LOVE is a step in the evolution of life. LOVE does not differentiate between the love you give yourself and the love you give others. Loving yourself is NOT self-centered; it is the KEY element in life…IF ONLY WE ALL KNEW THAT! Just yesterday, I was online having chat with a buddy of mine and he seemed very frustrated AND hurt. After asking a few questions I came to realize that he was in a relationship that serves him NO purpose. Now the thing about it is that he says that his boyfriend is the ONE for him, but he hasn’t heard from him in over a week and he is getting tired so he is going to have sex with someone else because he is lonely. Now I know that I am NOT the brightest man in the world, but logic would stand to reason that if a man is about to cross this bridge then he should not be in the relationship he is in @ this present time. It is MY belief that LOVE does NOT express itself in this regard. If he does what LOVE requires of him he would be in harmony with himself and will NOT feel this need to bring another into the relationship. Of course he tries to explain to me that the LOVES his boyfriend and he him, but sometimes LOVE isn’t enough. I agree with that sentiment; however I am of the opinion that one cannot honor the wisdom of the ages without coming to LOVE. Hence he cannot LOVE this man without loving himself and LOVE cannot be expressed without being LOVE. TRUE LOVE is shown via actions AND NOT words. Hence his NOT being able to be in a relationship that is going NO where is pointless AND fruitless. This lying AND cheating only fosters the image of what GAY men subscribe to AND it is destroying us. We seem to live as if we cannot find a descent man OR live as if nobody wants to be with us when it is us that do NOT want to be with a man that is worthy of us. Therefore, as we maintain this energy of NOT knowing what TRUE LOVE is, we are going to get what is enviable, being alone, through our 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and up. Many of us point to the other guy as our reason for NOT having LOVE when we NEVER had it from the start. I believe that LOVE is what they say it is; LOVE does NOT hurt OR seek to destroy us. It is us that are playing games AND is NOT serious about life. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again, expecting a different result. Doesn’t it sound like insanity, to say LOVE but NOT live OR feel it around you? Most of us know think we know what it feels like to have LOVE; but we don’t. ONE WOULD THINK THAT WE WOULD DO WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE “THE” CONNECTION & solidify A LIFE THAT IS OF SUBSTANCE. WE HAVE SOOOOO MANY THINGS GOING AGAINST US AS GAY MEN THAT WE DON’T NEED TO MAKE THINGS ANYMORE COMPLICATED. STAYING IN A RELATIONSHIP THAT DOES NOT bask IN THE GLORY OF SUN IS JUST LIKE GROWING OLD WITHOUT SOMEONE IN YOUR LIFE. IT HURTS MY HEART TO KNOW THAT WE CHOOSE TO LIVE THIS WAY…NONETHELESS, I HAVE FAITH THAT WE WILL ONE DAY MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION & TAKE OUR PLACE IN THIS WORLD…MY ONLY FEAR IS THAT I HOPE WE ARE NOT TOO LATE…
