I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

RuPAUL WINS HISTORIC EMMY — POSSIBLY GIVES SNEAK PEEK OF 'ALL STARS 6'

As we head into the big night of the Emmys, RuPaul Charles has already made history. With his namesake show RuPaul's Drag Race, Charles has been racking up the awards this week.

With the virtual awards kicking off on Tuesday, RuPaul's Drag Race has won quite a few trophies. Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program, Outstanding Contemporary Hairstyling for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program, and Oustanding Contemporary Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program. The last category meant that Raven, a Drag Race alum, won her first Emmy as she is on the makeup team for the series. But Saturday night's event made history.

On a livestream Emmy event held Saturday night, RuPaul took home his fifth consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Host For a Reality or Competition Program. The award broke the record that was held by Jeff Probst who had won four times for Survivor, his last win coming in 2011.

"On behalf of VH1, World of Wonder, and our incredible cast and crew, I want to thank the Academy for this great honor," Charles said in his acceptance speech. "I've always said, every time I bat my false eyelashes, I'm making a political statement. Well, tonight, the only political statement I want to make is this: Love.

"Love for our LGBT brothers and sisters, love for Black queens and brown queens, and love for the United States of America, where a little gay boy with nothing more than a pussycat wig and a dream can build an international platform that celebrates sweet, sensitive souls everywhere," he continued. "Hey, I’ve got an idea – on November 3rd make this your ringtone: The time has come – for you to VOTE FOR YOUR LIFE. And if you’re not registered to vote, go to vote.gov right now. I’d like to dedicate this Emmy to one of my girls – ChiChi DeVayne, may you rest in power and perfection. Thank you and goodnight.”

DeVayne notably died last month.

The video for the acceptance speech was likely filmed on set for All Stars six as Ru rarely appears in drag outside of the show, and the backdrop of the clip is the Drag Race Main Stage. According to reports, the season began to film weeks ago.
