Say goodbye to LGBTQ Pride month. Say hello to LGBTQ Wrath months.
As the religious right continues to trot out their condemnations and concerns about Pride, one of the most common tropes is that pride is one of the seven deadly sins. Since the Old Testament also says homosexuality is a sin, when you combine the two you get some sort of supercharged sin spectacular.
So if religious nutjobs are going to use the Big 7 against us, the queer community should embrace the allegation and take it a step further. If June is pride, that makes all the others wrath month.
While many of us opted for the usual quips and jokes, I say let civility be damned, let justice be done, though the heavens themselves may fall & may our justice be swift and furious.
