I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

REST IN PEACE: CHRIS KELLY

Chris Kelly, half of the 1990s kid rap duo Kris Kross has died in a US hospital.

Authorities said that he was at home and died of an apparent drugs overdose. He was 34.

Kriss Kross had a hit with the song Jump in 1992.

Kay Lester, a spokeswoman for the Fulton County police, said they were called to the singer's home on Wednesday. He was taken to the Atlanta Medical Centre.

Investigator Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner's office said Kelly was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Mac Daddy

Chris Kelly was known as Mac Daddy and Chris Smith as Daddy Mac.

Together they formed the band Kriss Kross and were introduced to the music world in 1992 by music producer and rapper Jermaine Dupri after he discovered the pair in an Atlanta mall.

The duo wore their clothes backwards as a gimmick, but they won over fans with their raps.

In 2011, the song was featured in the movie Friends with Benefits, starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis.

The group was never able to match the tremendous success of their first song, though they had other hits like Warm It Up and Tonite's tha Night.

Earlier this year, the group performed together to celebrate the anniversary of Durpri's label, So So Def.

I grew up with him and his music brings back many pleasant childhood memories, may he rest in peace.
