This week
needed some good news, and what is more exciting than the official cast list
for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2?
‘The world
needs these queens now more than ever,’ declared RuPaul. ‘We take great pride
in providing a platform for our all stars to shine bright.
‘Because fierce
is fierce is fierce is fierce is fierce is fierce.’
The new season
will begin on 25 August, when the queens will arrive to see who will join Chad
Michaels in the Hall of Fame.
RuPaul,
Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley return to judge, with Todrick Hall joining
the panel. There will be challenges, there will be lip syncs, and there will be
Snatch Game.
Adore Delano
(Season 6)
This punk queen
and American Idol may struggle with sewing, but she slayed the singing and lip
syncs.
Alaska (Season
5)
Alaska may have
been the runner-up in season 5, but she has proved she is a queen to be
reckoned with since the show.
Alyssa Edwards
(Season 5)
This dancing
queen may not know what her secret is, but it didn’t matter to the many fans
that fell in love with Alyssa’s endlessly gif-able face.
Coco Montrese
(Season 5)
The lip sync
assassin of season 5, her Cold Hearted Snake still gives us chills. But now the
fight is over between Coco and Alyssa, will she now be able to focus on the
competition?
Detox (Season
5)
Detox was going
through a rough time when she was on the show, and has since said she longed to
show what she could do. Now she has her shot, will her double-decker pecker
wrecker lips destroy the competition?
Ginger Minj
(Season 7)
Tipped for the
crown but beaten by Violet’s incredibly tiny waist, Ginger aced the acting
challenges. But will she be divine or end up with egg on her face?
Katya (Season
7)
The bisexual
transvestite Russian hooker that won all of our hearts with her surreal humor
and edgy take on drag. Will she be confident enough to take the crown?
Phi Phi O’Hara
(Season 4)
Phi Phi may
have been the villain of season 4, but she has since moved past it to become
the cosplay Party City queen she always wanted to be. She’s rocking it with her
365 days of drag, but will she be able to let the world see how much she’s
grown?
Roxxxy Andrews
(Season 5)
Roxxxy spent
most of her season targeting Jinkx, and it meant it took her eyes of the
competition. But this queen knows her way around drag, and could easily take
the prize with her focus and determination.
Tatianna
(Season 2)
An early fave returns. Easily
the best Britney Spears at Snatch Game (sorry Derrick), Tatianna has become a
fierce queen in the six years she’s been away from the screens. She could very
easily be saying ‘thank you’ to Ru as she hands her the crown.
