The greatest
gift you can give anyone is ‘nothing’! Nothing can be something. How can nothing be something? We often
think of giving as being a material present for a special occasion. Being in a
state of ‘acceptance from the heart’ may
be invisible, but is the greatest gift that few see, but take those who do for
granted. To give ‘acceptance’, and at
the same time being able to receive from the heart is a great blessing. The ‘finer gifts’ are an energy that we
leave for others to know.
Gifts given on special days from the heart are to be appreciated, but giving the invisible gift everyday is a holiday, or ‘holy-day’! Some days are days alone in the darkness of wondering who really cares. Some who’ve disappeared from connection really care, and they leave that feeling in your heart to have forever. ‘Love is in the air’ is more than a song, but a reality when we open the heart of acceptance. In thoughts, we can send love to all, or especially to those who have been close to our hearts.
Life can get busy, but who is too busy to not take the many opportunities for opening the heart? Most have a habit of filling the mind with the ‘flat’ knowledge that is so incessantly harbored, and yet a contributor to the ‘forgetfulness’ to ‘breathe in’ the love in the air.
Most give because of a feeling of obligation which is a very low vibrational giving that is ‘ego driven’. Giving like this is essentially ‘robotic’, and with a cookie cutter agenda of giving so as not to feel guilty, or to receive some form of honor from the recipient. In a sense it’s duplicitous behavior, or a deliberate gesture with hidden motives, be they, ‘it’s expected’, or for certain favors from the receiver down the road. The circle of giving material gifts can be an endless one unless you well up the courage to give nothing but an energy of compassion from the heart.
In the heart, you will find ‘nothing’. In the open heart there is a joyous feeling that can come up at most any moment. It may be about your mother, father, child, sibling, or someone you love regardless of their presence. Feel a passion to give with no expectation of a visible appreciation, or for that matter, just the sense of your own receiving of the feeling that is ‘nothing to anyone’ but in your own memory. The ‘air’ gives love, for the air is love. Breathe deeper and the air will begin to create a feeling in the heart seemingly coming from nothing if you receive by giving the ‘breath for love’.
