I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

🥸 ¿WHY IS THERE STILL STIGMA ATTACHED TO GETTING TESTED FOR HIV? 🏥

You sat in the waiting room at the clinic. Everyone is sheepishly focused on their phone scrolling and scrolling, or suddenly fascinated by a magazine they must now read cover to cover. Anything to avoid eye contact, because if you saw someone you knew that would be the absolute worst. Right?

Why do you think many of us are hung up on the idea that if someone goes to get tested they’ve obviously got something? Is this the case of slut shamming? Yes, there probably is some STDs in the room, but isn’t that’s why he’s there? Why isn’t taking the time to be responsible and looking out for one’s health a good thing?
