Bells will ring
at noon yesterday in rememberence of the Orlando Pulse massacare.
A series of
services took place to remember and honor the
dead.
The shooting
took place at 2am a year ago yesterday when gunman Omar Mateen shot and killed 49
people at the Orlando gay bar.
Orlando mayor
Buddy Dyer said: ‘I realize that gathering here at this place, at this hour, is
beyond difficult but I know the strength you’ve shown in the past year will
carry you through the day and in the future.’
Gov. Rick Scott
has ordered all US flags to be lowered to half staff and a rainbow flag to be
put up at the Orange County building.
The first
service in the morning was closed to the public but the victim’s families,
survivors, city officisls and staff who worked at Pulse were in attendance.
This will be
followed by another service at midday at Pulse. An evening service will take
place in evening in downtown Orlando with a final service taking place at Pulse
at night.
People dressed
in white and angel wings appeared at the service with candles and soft music to
help support the families of the victims.
The angels were
also at the funerals of the victims to protect the families from picketing hate
preachers with their wings.

Poma, owner of Pulse talked to the victim’s families during the private
service.
