I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

¿WHY DO SO MANY OF US DATE OUR DOPPELGANGERS?

We have all seen our share of guys in the gay world who cross a seemingly incestuous line between looking so similar they could be brothers and boyfriends. Whether it is some gym bunny who is dating another protein-obsessed jock, a hipster with another skinny-jeans-wearing, glasses-clad ironist, or a twink who is dating another boyish-looking guy, there are lot of guys who tend to date what seems like a mirror image of themselves. And that is not to disparage any of the aforementioned groups.

However, it leads one to question: Why is this such a phenomenon among gay men?

  1. Unlike the scientific world, were the same repel each other, in the gay world like seems to attract like. But there are exceptions: daddies and their boys, young Asians are often attracted to older European men, and black attracts both black and white! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Patrick

  2. is it a problem? I think no! take a look to an extreme case:
Czech identical twins Elijah and Milo Peters are male porn actors who work condomless, performing both anal and oral sex on each other in video performances since 2009. They consider each other to be both brothers and romantic partners, and report that they do not have sex with any men besides each other when they are not on film. would you condemn them? me not for sure. If I had an identical twin gay like me, and we feel attraction to each other,, probably both of us would be sexual and life partner to the other!

  3. I'm not sure there is a real answer for this question. It seems that gay men often think that to attract a certain type you need to be that type. It happens all the time. But like was mentioned in the other comment, we sometimes want a guy who is who we wish we were. I know a couple who are almost identical in every way. And I also know a couple who are totally different from each other.
