I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

TO BE IGNORANT OF HISTORY...

"To be ignorant of
history is to be ignorant of what you are trying to do now. History will show
you where we have been, how we arrived where we are, whether we have traveled
the best routes, and it will indicate -- if we pause to reflect long enough --
the best route to travel on from this point in time."

Chancellor Williams

The Re-Birth of
African Civilization

  1. History will also help determine if we are simply making the same mistake over and over again. Politicians learn little from history. They only seem to have two modes of behavior - 'either your with us, or against us'. For them, the political arena is not a place where we seek solutions to improve lives, but merely a turf war, fueled by personal greed and lust for power. - Uptonking from Wonderland Burlesque

  2. IMHO, many of us also have historical amnesia of the current kind, as in 'what have you done for us lately?' It bothers me when I see the negative and downright cruel and disrespectful shit posted about President Obama on some of the Gay blogs I read and in some of the emails my friends are circulating.

Guys - have you already forgotten who our best friend is and what life in general would be like right now had this man not been elected? Get off his fking back and don't forget that he didn't create the mess the world is in - he inherited it.
