SNICKERS TO GIVE AWAY LIMITED-EDITION RAINBOW PACKAGED BARS @ PRIDE

SPONSORED: SNICKERS® has announced that it will be giving away free, rainbow packaged samples in this year’s Gay Star News Pride bags, to support Pride 2017.

As in previous years, Gay Star News is due to distribute 20,000 Pride tote bags at Pride festivals around the UK – kicking off with Birmingham Pride this Saturday (27 May).

Further bags will be given away at pride festivals in London, Bristol, Manchester and Brighton.

In March, Gay Star News announced a unique partnership with SNICKERS®; who now sponsor the Gay Star Support page; a new part of the Gay Star News website that will encourage people to #BeWhoYouAre and tell stories from the LGBTI community, whilst providing resources to help individuals even at the toughest times.

There’s never a better time to be your true self than at a Pride festival.

‘We want to support the LGBTI community with every component of our SNICKERS® brand through our partnership with Gay Star News,’ said Ian Hepburn, Marketing Director for Mars, Snickers & Twix.

‘It feels only right that we share a real message of this support from SNICKERS® with our limited-edition #BeWhoYouAre rainbow packaging; launching at Birmingham Pride this weekend.

‘SNICKERS® bars will incorporate the iconic Pride flag colours and include a positive message of #BeWhoYouAre to the community who will be attending the Pride festivals nationwide this year.’

‘Pride isn’t for one day, it’s for 365’

The Gay Star News Pride tote bags have become covetable items in recent years. The exclusive design for this year’s bag will feature an illustration from Venezuelan gay artist Daniel Arzola.
SNICKERS® is putting a bar into every bag – with each bar coming in a rainbow emblazoned sleeve and ribbon.

Tris Reid-Smith, editor of Gay Star News said: ‘The SNICKERS® bars with their special packaging and rainbow ribbon look amazing. The best bit is that SNICKERS® is helping people through Gay Star Support and the #BeWhoYouAre message throughout the year. Pride isn’t for one day, it’s for 365.’

Look out for the Gay Star News team giving away the bags at Pride festivals in the UK this summer.
