I AM...

I am whatever YOU think I am until YOU get to KNOW me. This is true for everyone else too, of course.. so don't make assumptions about anyone or pass judgment; ask questions. You might just make a new friend.

"I am invisible.

Misunderstood, simply because people
refuse to see me.

Like the bodiless heads you see
sometimes in circus sideshows, it is as though I have been surrounded by
mirrors of hard, distorting glass.

When they approach me they see only
my surroundings, themselves, or fragments of their imagination -- indeed,
everything and anything except me."

Ralph Ellison
Invisible Man

CNN commentator Roland Martin made it a not-so-super Sunday
with a tweet and a Facebook posting widely perceived to be homophobic, and the
Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has called on the network to fire

reports that after retailer H&M’s Super Bowl commercial featuring soccer
player David Beckham, Martin tweeted to his nearly 95,000 Twitter followers,
“If a dude at your Super Bowl party is hyped about David Beckham’s H&M
underwear ad, smack the ish out of him! #superbowl.”

response, GLAAD wrote, “@rolandsmartin Advocates of gay bashing have no place
at @CNN #SuperBowl #LGBT.” Martin replied that GLAAD was “way off base” and
suggested that his tweet was a joke about soccer fans, not gays.

in the day, he had posted on his Facebook fan page, “Who the hell was that New
England Patriot they just showed in a head to toe pink suit? Oh, he needs a
visit from #teamwhipdatass.”

reports that Martin has a history of antigay statements, noting that he
defended comedian Tracy Morgan’s homophobic stand-up performance (for which
Morgan has apologized) and boasts on his website that his wife “has counseled
many men and women to walk away from the gay lifestyle.”

a message on its website, GLAAD concludes, “Martin’s tweets today advocating
violence against gay people weren’t an accident — they are a part of a larger
pattern for Martin. Anti-gay violence in America is a serious problem facing
millions of Americans. It’s no joke. CNN should fire Roland Martin.” The
organization asks supporters to sign a petition to that effect. For more

Should Roland Martin be fired?

Production Budget:$1,000,000

This faux documentary tracks the attempt of a young woman
named Isabella (Fernanda Andrade) to help her possessed mother (Suzan Crowley).
In 1989, Mom slaughtered three people who were conducting an exorcism on her
(pity the fool who tried to write that year's round-robin family Christmas
letter!) and is now languishing in a psychiatric hospital in Rome. With the
Catholic church unwilling to help, Isabella recruits two renegade exorcists
(Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth) to take on her mother's quite literal demons,
while an increasingly creeped-out documentarian (Ionut Grama) captures the
ensuing mayhem with his cameras.

Alas, the mayhem doesn't ensue for all that long. While this
religio-horror effort does contain some nice scares, and a memorably unnerving
turn from Crowley, The Devil Inside's biggest shock arrives when it
abruptly ends — just as it hits its stride. The result is a found-footage movie
whose third act remains missing.
