¿WHAT'S YOUR RESOLVE?

TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE...¿WHAT'S YOUR RESOLVE?
Hardy anyone that I have talked to in 2007, friends or strangers said that they make New Years Resolutions. They tend to grumble about how they never work! Ranging from diets, to becoming debt-free, exercise and eating healthier, the reasons pour on as to why they cannot allow themselves to live on false hope. Although I say that life happens in small doses, one has to develop a starting point. I believe that life is all about ELEVATION and moving towards making ourselves better to improve the world in which we live. The reason why NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS do NOT work is that we go through life year AFTER year in the same vain only to get the same results. Hence, if 2007 did NOT work how can 2008? In order for life to move forward AND NOT, keep us stagnant we should write down our goals AND put it someplace where it can be seen everyday. I know this seems mechanical AND trite; but life is meant to be lived in small portions of time. If one considers time, one would see that it moves second by second and NOT hour by hour. Hence, if one want to be successful at anything one has to plan the work that is needed and work the plan that is needed. Now it is fine to make New Years Resolutions, however some goals need to be set if the intent is to make this year different. HERE ARE 10 THINGS OF INTEREST THAT YOU CAN USE TO GET YOURSELF STARTED:
  1. You - Take care of you first! Your mental, physical & spiritual well-being should not only be important to you, however to everyone that you touch in your lifetime!
  2. Love life – Start with YOU then all else will flow.
  3. Sex life – Upgrade your sex appeal (lose/gain weight, take care your skin, buy new clothes that compliment your body)
  4. Procrastination – When you think about doing some that is going to benefit you, just do it.
  5. Eating healthier - Eat less fried foods
  6. Exercise – Walk a little more; eat a little less of fattening-food.
  7. Dieting – less fast foods, friend foods, sweets, more fruits, vegetables, and water.
  8. Debt free - Pay bills on time, even if you just have the minimum, you will avoid the late payment penalty. It helps your credit.
  9. Save – Take one dollar a day and put it away in a container and don’t touch it until December 31, 2008, no matter if you’re broke.
  10. Live – Life should be lived as if it is time spent until we get to the grave.
